Surely that 8600GTS can run all of your current games with decent eye candy? With only a single X1950 Pro I can run all of my games maxed with 16X HQ AF, 4X quality adaptive AA and maintain 50-60FPS at 1920*1080.
The GTX is twice the price and it barey got the cash for the 8800GTS,the 8600 realy does suck i cant even play Splinter cell DA at maxed out at 1280x1024 at a stable fame rate. And i only have a 17" LCD im getting ready to go in the army and i will not be upgradeing to a new LCD so the max res that i can pay any game at is 1280z1024 wich is just fine for me,I have never liked the big screen LCD or even the big screen at the movies.I have heard that the 8800GTS is atleast x2 faster than the 8600GTS.

Also right now baby sisting is where i get all if my income (about 200-300 a month)and i realy only have the money for the GTS,I just hope that i can get some high settings out of crysis on it and with a Phenom or INTEL quad latter on it should do a little better.

I have an XFX GeForce 8800GTS (stock 513/1600 now OCed to 675/2030) maxing everything so far.......Never tried Lost Planet though....The max temp it reaches is around 68 OCed which is pretty safe as far as GPU is concerned....I am very very happy with the performance of the card so far...WUd defo recommend this one...and wud NEVER recommend GTX coz it aint that worth the double price of GTS IMO...also consider the fact that these are just basic DX10 cards...buy a GTS 320 or 640 now and take a more powerful DX10 card when they come out...I am pretty much unsure how these 8 series cards will perform once DX10 starts to pump more out into future games...

Thanks i realy only pay dx9 games and the only DX10 game that i cam looking into is crysis i dont realy care if i can max it out im looking for the online game play and the story line (if it even has one),Im thinking its safe to say that i could see medium -high settings with somthings off at 1280x1024 (my max LCD res) so im going to go ahead and get it ,its 259$ on newegg after the thing.
