I haven't had any issues with Vista at all. It has rocked, IMO.

The only thing I had was trying to install a... *ahem*... not-so-legitimate copy of Half-Life 2 on a friend's Vista laptop. But because it was not-so-legitimate I completely overlook that because the fully legitimate version that I have works flawlessly.

I like Vista.

Just started using Vista today. The UAC really is as annoying as everyone made it out to be. The "windows sidebar" or "gadegt center" or whatever was the first thing that I disabled, and I'm slowly but surely working my way down the list. I'm pretty much scaling it back to xp plus aero/DX10. It doesn't suck that way. At this rate Vista might well be the last MS os I need to use for games.

Support for XP Pro is going to be until 2013. Home is probably only until 2008.

vista pwnz once you turn uac off. some of the sidebar gadgets are nice so i leave that up, and I don't notice a difference in games because i don't see a difference above ~ 60 FPS.

XP Pro is supposed to be past 2010 because the Japanese Government complained, I remember reading it a while ago.
