90% of the time slow speed problems are on the customer side, it's usually just a phone that's not filtered or people are using a long phone cord to connect the modem to the jack, they can't do anything about upping power on the provider side, they can just reduce the line length by removing bridge taps or clean up the line on the customer side by splittering the customer which is installing a dedicated jack.

i have sbc now..i cant stand them..its so slow...i cant wait for our contract end so i can switch to comcast

yup. they're used only for the most serious cases. usually if they can't fix it, it can't BE fixed lol

with comcast, i swear they use some pot-smokin tech geniuses. the 2 times i've talked to them, they fixed the problem before i ever spoke to them, and they only took me off hold to tell me that they had already logged into my modem, replaced corrupted firmware, and fixed the problem on their end before they picked up the phone. and before they said anything to me i heard them suck on something and then whisper "here"

Not true at all they can train up your modem for faster speeds on there end. I've been this stuff for years I know what im talking about.
