Need a good cooler that will fit

Thread Starter
I have a 680i A1 with a E6700. I would like to overclock, but can't with the stock cooler.
I bought zalmans 9700, but it will not fit with my mobo/case combination. It sticks out too far from the edge of the motherboard, and runs into a divider in my case. My case is a Lian-li v1000b plus II. I have to say, this is not the best engineering on the 680i. It does not allow enough room to the edge of the mobo to accomadate a decent cooler to overclock. Links to some pics so you have a better understanding of what I'm talking about...

I am not willing to sacrifice my case or mobo, so I guess I'm just going to have to get a smaller cooler. All the high rated ones seem to be too big. So my question to you, is what heatsinks will do a LOT of cooling for little size? So far I've been looking at the Arctic freezer 7 pro, and the Scythe Mine. I cannot confirm that either will fit, but judging from some pictures they look to be fairly small. If knows a possible solution, please tell me what you think.

Thanks

The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro should be good on a budget not sure of the mine.

see if this works...

And thats exatly the thing dude, I don't have room. I'm trying to find a small cooler that will do a the best job possible. I think anything 92 mm will fit, but the 9700 is 120mm, and it didn't.

Another one I've been looking at was the Ultra Chilltec.

Na, can't mod the case. The PSU is right under the divider, so if I cut out the divider, it would only give me abother millimeter or so. I like the case too much to get a new one. Lian Li makes the best cases...
