just ran aquamark:
gfx: 12,756
cpu:10,072

78,105 total

temps seem normal i guess...idle for CPU is at about 40 right now (hot weather), dont know during gaming though

gpu is idle at about 60...maybe a little hot, and no more than 75 during gaming (2142)

and yes, i do have the dual core optimizer, thanks

75c seems hot to me. I can't tell with this card because I never ran it without liquid cooling and ramsinks so I don't know what is does with the stock fan. Anybody else?

i was told its normal for that, but the person could have been wrong

i think i get a lifetime warranty with my card too....

can they tell if it was ever overclocked before? (its not now tho...and it didnt stop working right after overclocking, cause the overclock was barely anything and was set at it for like 5mins)

Yeah, you do have a lifetime on that card. I do believe every product that BFG makes made has a lifetime warranty on it.BFG is an awesome company like that. And even for being a dated card I have never had a problem with it. Check out the oc I get on it in my sig.
Try reseating it and if your soundcard isn't taking up your other pci-e try changing it out to the other slot, as they should both be 16x in an sli board. And actually look underneath of it so you can tell if the fan is running. This way you can rule out a bad slot.

Edit: and I don't think they can tell if it was ever overclocked.

i used to put the fan on higher during games (90-100%), but I noticed the comp would freeze a lot after i started doing that

is that not a good thing to do? (the temps were like 50 idle when i started putting the fan higher)

I think getting a new card from BFG is a possibility here

Before you go sending it back do the swap out and also swap the pci-e power connector, as long as you have another one that is.

ok, im gonna go do that now...is it ok if wires touch it (just on the top?) while its running too? they aren't touching right now, but when i do move it to the other slot, they will be, and theres no way really that i can stop that..

if you're talking about the insulated part of the wires, they can touch anything without hurting it (unless you throw them really hard at someone).
