Budget micro-atx

Thread Starter
ok so my aunt has asked me to build her a cheap computer, she doesnt do gaming its mainly for surfing the net and word processing and stuff like that. I decided to go micro-atx partly cause i wanna build one and partly cause i think something small would be best for her small room. also i want it to be very quiet.

that is what i came up with. id like any advice you can offer of something that should be better or something else that i could get cheaper. id like to order it all from the egg but if theres something better or cheaper at outpost or tiger i could go from there as well. thanx

Edit: ok ill just link them in individually

I'd get another more reliable PSU, perhaps a Seasonic 430w, and another cooler. Look at the CNPS series from Zalman. They're quiet (apart from the 9500)

Yeah ditch that CPU cooler, I doubt it is any better than a stock AMD cooler in my opinion.

Also take gonX suggestion. Get a good brand 400w PSU such as the Seasonic mentioned.

All other selections look pretty good for your needs

Yeah good idea

You could also get an Antec Sonata II for $100 (Sonata III is $150)

Which offers a more reliable PSU

On your wishlist page, select to share your wishlist. Then go to that wishlist and click 'email this list' and email it to yourself.
Then just share the link that it emails you - anyone can look at it. I have to use this at work all the time.
