Well, not so much an update as a mention that things are still moving on...you could probably call it an update if you really wanted though
Got my AcRyan prizes from the SFF Competition yesterday, the main ones which concern Kai are a AcRyan MORF PSU modding kit (UV Green):
It has these nice easy release Molex connectors like my Thermaltake:
And a big sheet of AcRyan HEXX mesh (500mm x 500mm) and black:
Close up of the label:
The problem with this arriving now is that the PC is in use everyday as my parents are using it for work and general stuff, so I can't take it all apart like I need to...
However, I found a speaker lying around which I thought would be good in Kai in case of errors, so I got that sleeved up to see what it was like.
To be fair to AcRyan, the kit is very easy to use. I just threaded the wires into the long piece of 6mm sleeving (3mm was too small and I have NO idea what I can use it for TBH
) until it was all in, cut off the end, bunched up the sleeving a bit and took a bit more off the end so it was the right length, slipped the heatshrink over and then put the connector back on, before using a hair dryer to heat the heatshrink.
Wow, that sentence makes it look really complex, but ITS NOT!
Trust me here, I mean, if it was complex, do you really think I could do it?
Here it is compared to the AcRyan RadGrillz, not quite the same but pretty close:
And a quick test inside the case:
I like it
And the connector close up and plugged in:
The 3-pin fan connector isn't looking too great
But it still works and that's what matters
More work will be done soon, when I get a chance to take it all apart
