Periphials and too many items?

Thread Starter
Is it okay to run pretty much all the periphial connections off one cable from the power supply? Or is it better to run more cables from the power supply?

Its the same amount of power, isn't it?

It depends on the PSU and the peripherals. Question is too broad.

Some PSU have multiple rails--the rails are devided to provide stability--a rail for the HDDs a rail for the GFX a Rail for the Mobo etc.

Some are single rail.

Depite these differences I would say that you should distribute the devices acorss the cabling to avoid instability and keep the cabling from taking too much load...although that is a fine point.

I have done it either way with single rail PSUs.
