Overclock This!

Thread Starter
I don't know if anyone knows, but nVidia are releasing a new line of computing solutions, including a gpu. Its called Tesla and its for HPC (high performance computing, i.e supercomputer standards). Heres the specs : http://www.nvidia.com/object/tesla_gpu_processor.html

What i want to know is: If you were rich enugh to buy this (not likely) would you feel the need to overclock it and see its true potential?

It doesn't have a DVI or any type of jack on it, so what are you supposed to do with it?

No, I'll just have it sit at stock and laugh at everyone else's inability to get one. (I'm a sadistic dick like that.)
'bout time.

I like this line:

"The Tesla C870 GPU computing processor can be used in tandem with multi-core CPU systems to create a flexible solution for personal supercomputing."

Anyone can own a supercomputer now I guess.

mwahaha. nowadays, what with all the dropping prices on higher end components, what can be classed as a supercomputer?

That thing looks like it's longer than the GTX but like a quarter of the GTX's size!

They say its able to put out 500 gigaflops. Can't the 2900xt and 8800gts do that much too. They say it like its super powerful. I don't see the difference between that and an 8800GTX or Ultra.

Take into consideration that a http://education.ti.com/educationpor...us_ti89ti.html

Has more computing power than it took to take man to the moon!

So in a way we all own super computers!!!!
