Project: Blackout {Cable Management Frenzy}

Thread Starter
Hey Guys,

Time for part 2 of my Armor upgrade. It looks nice but the cables are OOGLEY!

What I want to achieve with this is too fully sleeve/cover ALL the ugly cables.

Sleeving
  1. Fans
  2. Cathodes
  3. LED's
  4. Front Panel Connectors

Blacking Out
  1. IDE Cable
  2. SATA Cable(s)
  3. ALL Molex Connections
  4. Remove those ugly Purple and green TT Screwless design things and Replace with Black Thumbscrews

Management
  1. Replace all White molex(s) with AC Ryan Black "MXM"'s
  2. Route Cables along case using Zip Ties
  3. Hide front panel connectors etc
  4. Route SATA's somehow

What I'm ordering
  • TechFlex Black Sleeving 1/8" x4
  • TechFlex Cobra (Black/Red) Sleeving 1/4" x4
  • TechFlex Black Sleeving 3/8" x2
  • TechFlex Black Sleeving 1/2" x2
  • Heavy Duty Zip Tuies 7-8" Black (x15) x2
  • AC Ryan Black Sata cable 20cm x 2
  • Rubber Screws Fan Mounts x4 (Vibration Isolators) x2
  • AC Ryan Toolx Molex Remover x1
  • AC Ryan ConnectX MXF Connector & Pin set (10x) x1

Wish me luck

EDIT: Don't post until I have reserved the two posts below for pics & updates please
EDIT 2: Yay no one posted - <3
EDIT 3: I thought I would add that this thread is Axon Cat Approved.
EDIT 4: And Mad Approved off course

Hehe, looking forward to this

I have large amounts of sleeving and heatshrink here, and a PSU which needs sleeving - maybe this will make me sit down and do it tomorrow.

Then again, maybe not

I sleeved a PSU once, then 8 hours later I finally finished. I'll never do it again. EVER!

I really want to see the before and after pictures.

EDIT: I attempted to sleeve a PSU and ended up having to buy some new pins yeah I wouldn't recommend it, but then again, I'm not the most skilled person here exactly.
