no in computer shopers mobo review they had an AM2 ddr board.

I don't think it was a typo either.

Link?

To be honest, there's plenty of motherboards I could recommend if its OK to make the jump to 240-pin DDR2 at the same time.

hmm haha, well that would be awesome if it exists

worst case scenario i get him a tforce 550 and some ddr2's

The Pook once had a DDR LGA775 board I think.. but those exist because the memory controller is in the northbridge. The AM2 memory controllers are on the CPU and they only support DDR2. I do not see how such a board is possible to exist.. photo's of motherboard/labels/RAM?

Exactly. With AMD, it's not a matter of the motherboard supporting DDR1, it's only up to the CPU. And AM2 CPUs just don't support it.

If someone proves me wrong on this I will literally kiss your ass and eat my shorts.

If you're after a good clocking AM2 board I'd recommend the DFI LanParty UT M2R/G. It's about $150 in the usual retail outlets and stores.

Thanks to whoever gave me Rep too.
