World's Fastest Residential Internet Connection - Page 6

And tell me, what kind of upstream networks would she need to be tapping just to use even a 10th of this bandwith? The CIA? Alien Lifeforms from another Galaxy?

a 40Gb line in current day and age is just as useful as a 500Mb/sec line.

Besides, what people around the world should be looking for the internet to do is minimize pings between nations of the world.

I'd much rather be playing CS:S on a 1MB/s line with people from china, sweeden, hawaii, UK, south africa, and saudi arabia while i sit here in the US and still ping 30 to them.

I've actually seen a few companies that could use quite a bit bandwidth. granted maybe not 5gigabytes/sec but still quite a bit none less. even more so with those companies that have applications stored off computer and so they have to load them by remote.
in these situations 30ms ping vs a 70ms ping isn't going to be a lot if you just can't transfer the data through that quick. remember it isn't all about gaming in the world

I read an article stating that her house has around $250,000 worth of hardware to terminate the connection so that it is usable.
