TForce 6100-939 Troubleshooting

Thread Starter
Well I haven't been on OCN for awhile but I've come on a perplexing problem which I haven't been able to figure out! I built a system consisting of:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Biostar TForce 6100-939 Mobo
Stock AMD Opteron Heatsink
1GB(2x512MB) PC2700/PC3200 RAM
80GB IDE Seagate HDD
330W Raidmax PSU

The system worked great for a couple of months but then the video started acting up and the system was freezing. I thought it was Vista but it turned out to be a bigger problem. The computer started beeping and wouldnt startup. I replaced the PSU which worked for a second, but then froze up again. I then took the system to my house, where I replaced the RAM and the system installed XP just fine. I then bought a 1GB PC3200 RAM module from Fry's and then installed it which seemed to work fine for awhile but now the motherboard is giving me the beeping again. I re-read the diagnostic lights(which I didn't read the very first time which I should of) but it says Memory Error again! I really don't know what to do. I'm going to try my Corsair RAM again but otherwise, I have no idea except to replace the motherboard. Anyone have any other ideas or advice?

Could the motherboard be freaking out because of mixed RAM?

(The original post was a little unclear as far as specifying what RAM installation configuration is causing the beep codes. Either that, or I'm just especially thick today...)

I am running a 6100-939 as well. And it has never read my Corsair VS SPD correctly. Every time I reset CMOS I have to adjust the mem timings in BIOS.

Maybe you'll have to 'spoon feed' it the correct timings as well?
