Stuck on a mobo...

Thread Starter
Okay so I am looking for a mobo after newegg dropped my RMAed Gigabyte board. I really would like to stay as close to $100 as possible, while still supporting sli. I would like good overclocking features for my AM2 socket 3600+ Brisbane.

Biostar TForce 550

EDIT: Nevermind...you said SLI. Look into an eVGA...I think its right around $120. Looked like a good board to me.

A retail possibility...

Or for a bit more and a NEW OEM which is the MB only, no extras, no I/O plate, etc...

I might have a sale go through on ebay. If it goes through, I will have some more money to afford a better board. Of these three, which do you recommend? Also, are there any others for a similar price?

ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

DFI LANPARTY UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

EVGA 122-M2-NF59-TR Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
Is this board any good? Also which board would be the most future proof?

I was leaning toward that one, mostly because of price. Do you think it will last a while? I mean, I plan on building a base for a gaming computer and upgrade it overtime. Do you think this board will handle the upgrades? I plan on SLI one day, and already have a sound card. Proc will be brought up for sure. But is the EVGA board worth the saved money?

The Asus and DFI are premium OCers... I'm not much a fan of the EVGA MBs... I think Chaintech make them for EVGA! Chain make great cards... just not to gassed about there MBs.

Does anyone have any experience with evga? I mean I like their graphics cards, I just never knew anyone that had one of their mobos. I plan on using it on a 3600 Brisbane so I want a good overclocking potential. I want to hit the 3.0Ghz mark so I want good options. I heard the DFI Lanparty was the king of overclocking boards, but I would prefer the ASUS if there wasn't too much difference. I like the EVGA board, I just don't know how good the board will be and if it has the potential to let my proc hit the 3Ghz mark.

I like EVGA GPUs but I really like DFI mobos. Wow, the AM2 Lanparty dropped in price so much it makes me sad. I would go for the DFI. If you can't afford the lanparty, then even their Infinity series boards are still good.

Now I have a question about the DFI LanParty. I have read that it is a fairly technical board. Would it be too difficult to use for a first time overclocking board? Would one of the other boards be better in terms of ease of use vs. overclockability, or is the DFI board not as difficult to use as people say?
