=Official LCD N' Case Mod Thread=

So I have some ideas, now I need me a gosu modder to make it happen

Mod 1 - GBA screen:
So it would be awsome if you put a GBA screen into your computer case. My idea would be to put one into 2 5.25" drive bay covers.

Mod 2 - Laptop LCD:
So how awsome would it be to have your computer and monitor all in 1 package?!?!?! My thoughts would be to use a laptop LCD and attach to inside of the case and Let it show through the plexi window.

Getting these LCDs into the case is like putting legos together, but wireing them up to actually do something is another story. So there ya go, Lets take these ideas and run with them.
Post pics, ideas for other LCD screen mods and suggestions here.

True... but everyone does that. Im thinking something bigger, better, laptop LCD would be big, good quality, and lightweight. It would be like having an internal monitor. Great for the lan party with a limited number of monitors.

Can a laptop LCD be wired up to have a VGA/DVI input signal, that would make this mod very easy.

Laptop lcd's use a digital signal, you'd need to buy an expensive digital to analog video converter to make it work.

and the gba screen is alot smaller than the 5.25 bays, they put the ps1 lcd in the floppy bays, the ps1 screen is alot bigger than gba screen. ps1 lcd would be best i wanna do it to my custom case that will be fog clear, and have it mounted to the plactic inside so you cant see it til it turns on

So if I buy one of those, will I have to do much more to the laptop LCD? Soldering wires, anything like that?

Thats an awsome idea.... the part about not seeing it till its on. But I was just trying to find something to do with my old GBA lol.... i could cut an opening in the bay covers and mount it that way, then it would be removable.
Would you happen to have any pics of this case? I wanna see

For the laptop LCD, you'll need the original controller card from the laptop itself.
