New build, please look over real quick

I'm putting together a new pc for gaming at the moment. I have decided on this CPU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...annel&CMP=OTC-

i am stuck between using this MOBO:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131032 with 2 of these cards:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121069

or just getting this MOBO:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813121060 and a single gfx card, what do you all think I should do?

The P5N-E SLI is a good choice. Forget the other mobo.
I wouldn´t really take that CPU...for that money you can get the quad core Q6600. Or something else, after the price drops(22 july).

And those 2 cards are also a waste of the money in my opinion. Why not just 1 GOOD card, like 8800GTS 320mb, 640mb or a 2900xt. The last two will handle new games pretty good. And if you want SLI or Crossfire, then you can get another of these cars later.

Do you have a certain budget in mind for these parts? Post it if you do, that way people can find you things that are actually relevant your needs and price.

But just off the top of my head I would say that most boards with a P35 or 965 Intel chipset are good overclockers or if you want to go nvidia get either a 650i or 680i chipset. As far as motherboard brands go Asus and Gigabyte are always a good way to go.

And as for the video card go for something better right off the bat. I got an 8600 GTS OC and I kinda regret not forking out the extra $100 for an 8800GTS OC. The performance difference is suppose to be well worth the price difference.

bolobolo, please give us a total price your looking to spend on and what parts your going to need. Is this going to be a full new build? or do you already have a hard drive and a case? Explain this more to us and we can help you out.

You don't need to spend $200-$250 on a motherboard. You can buy a Gigabyte DS3 or a Biostar 965P for $110 and put the rest of that money into buying an X-Fi, beefy psu, and better gfx card. If you want my suggestion, get a E6320 or E6420, an 8800gts 320 or 640, and a Creative X-Fi. All of that can easily fit in your budget and still leave you some cash for later upgrades
