Hiper 580W Type-R - Page 3

you must be reading the Newegg reviews huh? well those are published by 10 year old buying siemprons because it has pr0n in the name.

I just tried to fit wires into the 120mm fan, and the fan guard is too small to allow for any fingers or wires to fit in it and so much as touch the fan, much less stop it. I would take every newegg review with a grain of salt... make that a pound or two of it. Also I don't know about it biting the dust after 6 months, my has been going great for 9 months, and my friend's has been going great for 1-1/2 years.

Stick to review sites, their job is to evaluate the quality of products, newegg's reviews are published by the average joe and jane, ever notice the people claim to by "very knowledgeable" yet their "Core 2 Duo sucks because it couldn't survive being sat on by me so I am giving it 1 star"

Great PSU however be careful if buying with ASUS P5W DH Deluxe, the fan in the bottom compartment of the case makes it extremely tight to get the PSU in with power cables attached (Impossible to attach them later), I actually broke the fan in doing this the first time, you have to remove the fan, position the PSU with cables and then put the fan back in (all rather making redundant the great easy change modular construction of the PSU). Even then it is v.tight and the cables have to be bundled up tight so they don't catch the fan, not an ideal combination, have not finished build yet so not sure on final results.
and other ones are just from different forums really i was thinking about this PSU and I just can't help it , its so SEXYYYYY , Must get it

I wouldnt trust everything i see on any sites such as ebuyer etc. too much.. take them into consideration, but, look for a review on some review sites to confirm any such problems. But, yeah, its a nice looking piece of power.

yup! I love mine, I honestly cannot think of any thing I would change with it. It comes with a very nice toolbox that I use frequently, any cable's you might need, except for that conversion cable that is purchasable through newegg for $6. You will love this PSU, I sure did, and everyone coming by my dorm room immediately starts saying that it is very cool, and very neat.

besides what other PSU comes in hot pink? lol, I have the black one, don't worry.

come on... 1 mm thick steel ^_^ aviation type heavy duty connectors! ^_^ you know you want to!

I got a blue modular one, and it is brilliant. Quiet, cool and good looking. I don't see any downsides to it (Except its only 580W). Go on and buy one already, don't trust the reviews you find on sites such as Ebuyer and the Egg.
