MSI P965 PLATINUM MOBO -input?

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,
i came across a MSI P965 PLATINUM, i have done some searching of the reviews and seems like a decent setup.

Does anyone have this board, or have direct exp with it?
It says it can do xFire 16x4, how would have to in performance compared to a p5n-e sli at 8x8?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Well it's a crossfire motherboard not an SLI motherboard, alot of people have used the 965 chipset and had no performance issues running one card at 4x however I hear you can make the second slot run at 8x by disabling all the small 1x PCI-E slots on the board to give that slot their bandwidth.

It's an MSI so it'll be a decent overclocker and well made, not a DFI mind you but still a great motherboard, I'm very happy with mine.

My MSI has not given any problems so far. It booted up on the first try so I can't complain.
