Don't forget if you want to get the full potential of the Quad-Core you need to switch to Windows Vista.

Quad all the way! Just bought one and love it. This sounds like "exact" battle when Dual Cores came out and everyone was still stucking saying how much they love their single core and how Dual isn't that much better.... right.

I would be interested in seeing your 3DMark06 score, with a E6600, just wondering because that takes in account not only graphics but your cpu. I got a 13427 with my Quad and 8800gtx.

The multi tasking on the Quad is simply amazing. If you can handle a little extra heat i think its worth your time. I'm a Web and Media Design major and all the encoding and stuff I can now do at one time is amazing. Not only that, I can run a Virus Scan, Spware Scan, and play CS:S at the same time!!!

And I mean for virtually the same price as the E6600, I mean around 266-300 is a steal! Seeing as how they came out at $851! Unless intel was just throwing us a 3-400 dollar rift in price if they perform the same as the Core 2 Duo.
