Alright, im at 2.750ghz, pretty good imho. My voltage right now is 1.375, it's showing up in cpuz as 1.344 , but I know I set it in the BIOS as 1.375v. My multi is 11x, 250fsb, 3x ldt, anything do you guys see that i'm doing wrong? thanks. I'm about to test it on superpi 8m. I'll post back with the results. ohh yeah, my core temp (speedfan) is 30C as I type now. I'll see what the highest is in superpi.

ok, it failed superpi. The highest temp was 44C through speedfan, and 50C through core temp, weird aint it! What's up? I upped the core voltage to 1.4volts, and 1.59v on the chipset, how hot can the chipset safely get? thanks

Jacob

EDIT: WWOOOOHOOOO It passed and at 6m 38 sec! haha, kinda slow right? Well I'm running my RAM at 125mhz, so what do you expect! I'm going to shut down, I need to sleep, got to be somewhere at 10 so I gotta wake up early. Tell me what you think about my progress so far, and ohh yeah, what is a good safe temp for x2 939's it's a manchester if that helps.

You can have the chipset go up to 1.7v, as long as the load temp is fine. Add somemore vcore to that CPU to stabilize it. Personally, I don't go over 1.5v (some people will say 1.55v is fine, but those people seem to upgrade frequently).

OK, thanks I have heard that some procs clock better at a lower voltage, rather than the highest it is capable of doing. I will keep going up to 1.5v thanks

As far as I know 2gb to 4gb won't make any difference in 3d mark scoring, I've already tried that, but 1gb to 2gb haven't tried

Did your 4 RAM stick exactly identical? From my experience, even with the same brand, if not identical, the RAM will give little unstability when OCing

Try running everest n see the timing your RAM runs on factory settings, coz I found that differ from bios auto. I tried changing the timing based on the factory settings, and it helps.

Have u tried increasing RAM Voltage? That helps for me

Sorry if I'm using 2 many strange words I'm not really familiar with many terms on OCing

But, well I'm really no pro, just following n learning the ways of OCers hoping to be a good one ... someday..

thanks, it's looking good now, no 3ghz, but pretty close, I think at best I will get about 2.9ghz, which will make me very happy! Hopefully orthos goes well, if so i'll up it by another few mhz until I can't anymore, and then i'll work on the ram, and go from there!

AAAHHHH 67c on one core!!! I brought the voltage down a little, hopefully that will fix it.

Jacob

EDIT: ok, now I backed it down to 2.75ghz, it has been fine on orthos for 18 mins now, and the highest temp i've seen is 65C for a second.
