Cs:s FPS problems.

Thread Starter
Ive recently updated my system from a (Amd 3700+ , 2gig ddr , 6600gt) to my (c2d e6420 , 2 gig ddr2, 7800GTX) And now im seeing worse frame rates then before. Ive updated to 6.14.10.9371.I also have bigval's config file ! A week ago Steam was saying I had the wrong drivers but it only popped up once and I haven't seen the pop up since.
Whats going on....

make sure you have all of the drivers for your video card and your updates from microsoft. Also make sure you have the latest directx. Take the video stress test on css and see what it says.

Is CSS the only game you've tried? Did you not reinstall windows after that upgrade? Although windows shouldn't run switching from AMD to intel lol so that shouldn't be it.

You might wanna try restarting your computer. Ive had low fps problems before and just a restart fixes it.

I say fresh install of windows. Or maybe Try the stress test as stated before and see what that gets. And the server you where in how many people were playing cause if your in a server of 42+ you get no frames.

Not to 9fps on his system. He should never see those FPS, even on a 60man server thats all throwing flashes, smokes, and nades constantly.
