You can't beat FF's AdBlock. You just can't. Try to and you will reach fail.

Firefox is amazing i detest IE and FF with AdBlock plus there are virtually no ads at all

Firefox is a lot, lot better than IE. I've been using it for a bout a year and a half and in every way imaginable I find it better, except occasionally for speed!

adblock is my favourite thing about ff but still not enough for me to use it over opera.

i find IE really slow id rather use konqueror. i see why people like firefox so much but i just find it clunky and a serious resource hog when you start loading plugins

tabbed browsing isn't something all of us like. I still use multiple windows.

also how do you enable IE to ask you for downloading files everytime? have'nt hd that for a while but with some people who use my computer that wouldn't be a bad idea at times.

what does opera have to do with paying for firefox?

as far as security goes wow I'm not impressed. they sure seem to have a lot of them in firefox going through the history. it doesnt' sound as secure and able to prevent any kind of security threat that can ever happen
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/secu...abilities.html
sure they might get fixed a little quicker but still seems like a lot of security bugs much more so how many of them are critical.
I have seen a few sites not load right in firefox and load correctly in ie. actually I have yet to run into a site that doesn't load right in ie but yet firefox fails to load it right. hell at one point little animated gifs couldn't even come up right which kinda sucked. are gif's not coded right either?

Yeah, only where you live. Sometimes the lines into Canada get choked, and it takes 20 bloody seconds to download the whole page. I don't want to wait 20 seconds just to click on a link to another page!

Have you gotten spyware before? If "Yes", then IE is less secure than Firefox. Honestly, two years back I installed Firefox, and spybot/Ad-aware and anything else I run comes up blank now.

There's probably an extension for it; just have to figure out what it's called.

What I dislike about IE, is it's totally stupid at finding addresses. If I type in 'overclock', it gives me some invalid address error after a half-minute. If I type that into Firefox, it finds overclock.net Smart.

The absolute minimum for me to contemplate using IE, would be prefixing www. and appending .com to links I only partially type out. I use that feature so incredibly often.

I also like Firefox's search-in-address-bar feature. You just type something like 'betanews spywareblaster' or 'newegg Multisync 20WMGX2' and it takes you right to the page(FF 1.5), or to a search results page(FF 2.0).

Don't have to bother with Spybot/Ad-aware, etc., but do for good measure and convincing people FF is more secure than IE.

That's one of the biggest misconceptions about IE out there. IE doesn't start faster; it starts when you boot. There are programs that let you strip components out of Windows(is that against TOS?); stripping IE out saved me ~6-8 seconds on startup. For me the time between the XP load bar showing up, and my desktop flashing into existance is under 4 seconds. I enjoy having a comp that boots in ~29-30 seconds. ~22 seconds to reach the boot menu(ugh), another 6-7 to boot into Windows and finish loading startup programs, and then another 2-3 to start Firefox or a game.

Right, so to keep IE safe you need 2-3 spyware removal proggies, an antivirus program, and peerguardian for ads?

Nobody denies FF has exploits, but they're less actively abused. Also, Firefox seems to have better parsing for HTML/XML/everything: there are a vastly larger number of IE scripting exploits. What's really sad, is a lot of IE exploits haven't been patched after years, and Microsoft says they never will. I don't want to have to trust a site like overclock.net to remove malicious text. I just want my browser to be immune.

I have had the exact opposite of you. IE fails to load most pages(at all), and FF loads them all properly. I don't need a browser that fails to load pages, and keeps stealing window focus.

Tips for improving your Firefox experience:
-Find a theme you like.
-Try these extensions: Adblock, Filterset G, Download Statusbar, IE Tab, Fasterfox
Also, open a new window and type about:config into it. Change the browser.cache.memory.capacity line to something like 262144 (256MB)
