Asus Commando & 4GB Ram OC Possible ?

Hi Members,

someone here with the same Commando Board and have Informations about OC with 4 GB Ram ?

I read a lot of Threads and there a pretty good results with 2Gb, but how about 4 Gb ?

My Ram is the Corsair Xms 2 6400c DDR 2 800, need some help.

Is this possiple and what i Danger when i try to oc with 4Gb Ram ?

send me a second set of Team eXtreem and i'll see for you.

nah, seriously, 4GB will decrease your max OC, but it shouldnt be too much of a decrease. go for it.

go with 4gb definitly.

Since vista uses so much.

I also havn't heard of any issues with that ram on that board

With more RAM, you have a slightly lower probability of overclocking the RAM as high. More memory means more places where the overclock may fail.

The only thing with 4GB is make sure that you have a 64-bit operating system or else you will be able to utilize only 2.5-3.5GB.

That's not a valid reason for going to 4GB. Vista doesn't have to use that much more memory.

2GB is ok for vista.
*cough* unless you want to play Doom3 and copying a sh--load of files to another PC on the network while forgetting Photoshop was still running *cough*

cant be bothered with trying honestly. even more so because i dont have XP on Overkill-chan, and no 2GB of RAM on Reinforce-chan.

You obviously haven't used Vista. 2 GB is plenty, 4 GB is just overkill. Whatever floats your boat though...
