I think the blame falls on those reporting the prices in first place, i.e. news reports, leaked reports, etc... because they never mention it's not MSRP but 1,000 units, at least some of them do that

What's so good about G0 stepping that makes it better than what ever we will get from newegg or elsewhere?

Is G0 the "Golden" stepping for the Q6600??

I'm thinking about going quad core if i get enough money this summer, and if the price is right

Luckily I caught the "One Day Sale" on the Q6600 two weeks ago at Frys.com. They had it for $300 and I ordered it that second. I love it too! So anyone thinking about getting a quad when the price drops its the way to go!
