Overclocking 4 G.Skill hz's

Thread Starter
So i have my CPU at 3.5ghz and my ram is running at 788mhz 4-4-4-12 2.1v because of stability problems.
Are 4 gigs harder to get an overclock out of? When i had 2 sticks they were running at 1098hmhz 2.2v

I would like to know from some people that might have experience in the 4 gig memory overclocking field, where i should start, and what i should expect in an overclock.

the chance an OC isnt stable is slightly higher, since there are more places the isntability could be caused, slightly limiting your max OC.
you probably will not have a problem that in the worst case couldnt be solved with 0.1v extra to the memory.

just go for it.

Yes with four sticks you will need more voltage for a similer oc. WIth the same voltage on my ballistics I can do 600mhz with 2 sticks or about 540mhz with four sticks.
