Then reconnect all the power leads making sure they fit snugly and try again. Other than that all I can suggest is putting it together outside of the case to see if it powers up. Also have you tried reseating the memory modules? Just give it a try if you havnt. Also try the other memory slots, and a single stuick at a time. Just to eliminate any and all of this.
I'll try but i'll just state some things -
The diagnostic LEDs stop at 2 - which is the VGA, if it stops at 1 the OS has failed to boot. If it stops at 3 it's the RAM which i've reseated anyway and 4 is the CPU. It stops at 2 so it could be the VGA but it's done this before on my old case and I attatched the front panel things correctly and it booted but I can't remember really what I done.
If it's a short why would booting it out side of the case work? (since it powers up anyway and doesn't shut down.)
The memory is also fine..according to the LEDs.
I'll make sure everything is attached properly although I still would like to know what goes into the 4 pin slot above the pci-e slot.
