No... PureVideo is a feature on all 7 and 8 series cards (except the 7100). nVidia improved upon it with their newest cards. Note the picture mentions only the 8600, 8500, and 8400M here. They have the redesigned architecture.

or you could wait a few more days and get ati's hd2600. it is the best video card for hd videos. there is an article on guru3d.com about it and it compares it to nvidia cards

Ok, well I purchased the 8600 GST video card. I was wondering how I watch any type of HD content? Do I need a special wire? I am using the DVI wire that came with the monitor. Any help would be appreciated.
