8800's are big and long, but they will not extend over the width of the motherboard, so you should have no problem fitting it in any case really

it fits in a soprano dx without removing the hd cage.
You just cant mount your HD in the 2 bays nearest the card.

My 7900gtx fits in fine. I have about 1.5 inches of room.
