Either way, it's $1.50 USD an hour, but $1.50 USD is ~11.4 RMB. That might not seem like a lot, but the average wage an hour is around 4 RMB/hour *(it's rare for jobs to pay by the hour unless you're doing side jobs for people, most basic low end jobs ie cashier, waiter, receptionist etc have a fixed salary per month, and high end corporate jobs have a fixed salary per year). So technically, one that lives there would have to work about 3 hours of some basic job in order to play 1 hour of video games/internet/whatever at a cafe. That's insane if you ask me, because the standard of living is very low already, so why would you spend your hard-earned money on gaming?

Usually, restrictions are a bad thing, but in this case, it could do a world of good for China. Plus, it might give you time to play catch up on your CS/Starcraft skills
nah the koreans are already gods of starcraft. they worship it religiously.

Look buddy as long China makes my plastic items or what ever I'm fine. But this guy is standing up for a COMMUNIST country. Either he/she is a socialist/commie himself. I'm just letting him know that China is a communist country. They still control their people. They even send journalist to jail because they publish the "wrong" thing. So STHU.

How can you assume that? He isn't standing up for communism.

Yes, yes, yes

I went back to China 2 years ago and also 10 years ago. A lot of things changed. The markets are defintely a lot more free than they used to be. Living conditions are definitely much better

China has more than $1 trillion of US money in reserves and if they let it get into the market, the economy of China and the USA would collapse

edit: I'm really off topic...

This is a good idea IMO

I've read that people actually live and sleep in the internet cafe's because other places to live in (i.e. rent) cost a fortune in comparison (especially for what they make) because it's so densely populated there. Japan as well.

On a side not, this only affects kids under 18 and they really should be doing better things with their youth. When you're an adult go ahead and play all day as long as you can pay for it
