e6600 overclocking help needed

Thread Starter
I am ocing an e6600 with an evga 680i sli board
i have turned off everything spp spread spectrum cpu spread spectrum nvidia ex, virtualization all that
i am trying to oc to 3.2ghz as follow
my memory has been memtest86 tested and the system is very stable at stock clock orthos stressed
however it is very unstable when i overclocked as following
FSB 1.3 volt (my board support 1333 fsb natively)
Vcore 1.45 volt
cpu 1422/4*9 = 3.2ghz memory @ 800mhz
The comptuer started booting up when the vcore was 1.375 then i did little by little until i am at 1.45 i am air cooled with zalman9700 so i don't know if i should go up more with vcore (its hot down in LA cali) or is it safe for the cpu?
i seen pplz oc to 3.2 on stock voltage or 1.375 i think the highest i read on the post is 1.42 vcore
i am really scared to go higher now but orthos crashes still and my comp can't be on for more than 2 hours without crashing.
Am i doing something wrong? I am nub First time Overclocking
Please Help
Sorry for the long post
ps. i have a 700watt ocz psu just in case it matters

Our survey says: Raise VTT to 1.55v

1.45v CPU vCore should be fine on your E6600, you should be able to manage 3.2Ghz with ony 1.4v.

Sorry, I just realised that there is no option for VTT votages in the EVGA BIOS after looking through the manual.

If I were you I'd try raiseing the NorthBridge voltages to 1.5v, this should be called nForce MCP in the voltages menu of your BIOS.

I do recall someone mentioning that the VTT used on the Asus P5N32-E SLi (680i based) relates to the FSB termination voltage. With that in mind try raiseing your FSB voltage to 1.5v, and the nForce SPP to 1.5v, though be sure to check your temperatures closely.

Edit;

You may want to have a butchers through this guide here.
