Oh ... where to start. Umm first I would suggest getting a DVD burner instead. You shouldn't need to buy a sata cable, the motherboard should come with one or more. You shouldn't need a 1k powersupply for air cooling, its overkill. And instead of getting a 74gb raptor, i would suggest getting two 7200 rpm and setting them up in raid, should be better performance and alot more room.

Also whered you find the Arctic freezer pro 7 for 26 bucks? My local store has it for 40

Don't get your hopes too high on that combo, P35 is the best choice for Q6600s.

Like people have stated, get a DVD BURNER, don't get liteon, get samsung,sony/nec/asus SATA Burners,

you dont need a $10 SATA cable

ST1000 isn't that great of a power supply, low end silverstone, get something like 700-800W, even then its overkill

Don't waist your money on a raptor, it's really only helpful for loading games or startup (few seconds max), get more space and raid 2 HDDs together

Get a P35 or atleast p965 motherboard unless your an nvidia fan and plan on SLI

Lastly, most importantly, wait 1 more week, 7 more days, 168 hours, and those prices will magically drop, just you watch! No joke!

I'm with this guy. I'd like to add, GET A 64 BIT OS! You're buying all new components go the extra mile and get Vista64. The powersupply you're listing is ridiculous, get a Corsair 620 (canadian link ftw) or even 520 (it'll be fine). Also, the current state of DX 10 hardware is kinda gimpy... (just my opinion flamers) I would tone it down and get either a 2900XT or a 8800GTS 640 (if you can still find them) and save a couple hundred and still blast through current games.
