Hey guys, am going to buy a complete new tower soon and it was recommended to me to post here first because apparently you guys are sweeeet...

prices are from my side of town and where i would like to buy from preferably

im looking at:

Asus - Striker Extreme ~ $508.49
[http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...9&modelmenu=1]

Antec Performance One Case ~ $307.49
[http://www.antec.com/us/productDetai...?ProdID=81803]

Geil PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Kit, 4.0GB ~ $367.22
[http://www.eyo.com.au/prod_C-GX24GB6...5-5-5-15.html]

Western Digital 400GB SATA HDD ~ $158

Pioneer DVD Burner, DVR-212BK, SATA Interface ~ $127 (two)

Intel CORE 2 Duo 3.0 GHz ~ $391.62
[http://www.eyo.com.au/prod_A-E6850_p...B_LGA775.html]

umm

i did have a video card lined up aswell but have since been recommended to change to a XFX 8600 or 8800

i would like to get atleast 512 memory on the video just so i dont find myself having to upgrade anytime soon

but the only 8600 or 8800 only come in 320 or 768.....320 is too little and 768 is too pricy, over a grand for me in most cases

any suggestions?

also, would it be best for me to go the 4GB ram or is that just a waste? 2GB alright?

will that actually make it run faster?

what type of power supply will i need to run this thing?
and will all these parts work together??

any other suggestions also would be fantastic

Thanks guys

your getting a 4gig kit of ram... make sure you have a 64 bit os

you should mention the games you play. id say the 8800gts 640mb would be good for you.

I'm not a high pricey builder person, but for the information for other users.

Are you planning to get watercooling with that $3,000?

Is there a different website than eyo?

The cheapest 8800GTS 640MB compared to one of US best site.

Your site: http://www.eyo.com.au/prod_D-GV-NX88..._HDTV_DVI.html
Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130071

You should look for a different website. Eyo is a BIG rip off.
