why is vista64 bit best for 4GB of RAM? I am getting the extra 2Gb on friday, and upgrading to 64bit ultimate, i got it as a present, so why is it more ideal for 4gb? thanks

Because 32bit OS's only support up to 3.5Gb of RAM.

The 64bit Addressing will allow you to utilize 4GB upwards to 128GB with Windows Vista ultimate.
