It looks pretty good. Just wondering why he needs a floppy drive? I think he would want the 640mb GTS because hes going to be running at a pretty high resolution.

EDIT: Don't you want to get him a cpu cooler? Something better than stock?

I remember seeing a thing saying that the difference between the two cards wasn't that much. Also he said he wanted a floppy drive, and since they are only 7 dollars i didn't argue.

get te 640mb gts

Its worth the extra cash and also if he plays above 1280x1024 it helps alot

Also he only needs 2 gigs for now(however if he wants 4 gigs he needs the Vista x64 edition ).

The difference between the 320 and the 640 isn't that much at low resolutions, but dude, that monitor he has is 1920 x 1200. Hes going to need that 640mb.

He doesn't want to overclock the system at all, nor is he willing to. So a cpu cooler seems kinda like a waste.

I guess i can talk to him about the 640.

For $17 more, I'd highly recommend the PCP&c Silencer 610W, this PSU is capable of running GTX in SLI along with that (fiasco) quad core fx cpus from amd.

One excellent PSU for the money.

I donno about a new mobo, i have the same mobo but baised on the 965 chipset and it served me well. Plus hes not gonna use all the features of the evga mobo. And im trying to reduce cost how much hes paying. Honestly he doesnt know too much about computers.

As for the 640 graphics card, i looked up some reviews and talked to him. The reviews showed a 30% performance increase at his resolution on avg. He doesnt feel its worth the increased price. (I had to work hard to talk him into a 8800 at all, he wanted an 8400 or something)

Nasgul I agree with you that its worth the extra 17 for the PC&C. Good find.
