I would go with the 5600+ because of the lower voltage, the multiplier and the $20 difference in price. The 5600+ is also 89W compared to the 125w 6000+

Just get some good cooling and oc away.

Good luck

Good choice i've gotten the 5600 to 3ghz with stock volts (i got it to boot with a little less than stock) the only thing stopping me is the stock cooling but thats gonna go soon.

Those 6000's aren't overclock friendly as i understand it. Their 125watt usage make u run for high performance coolers faster than with the 5600 which uses 89watts (which is still high). The 5600 can probably be taken further when overclocking also. I've gotten 3.0ghz on stock cooling.

i only got a 6000+ because i got an amazing deal at Frys. (it was 40$ cheaper than the 5600+ at the time) But yes, the 6000+ dont overclock very nicely. And the voltage is higher as well.

a 6000 is 200Mhz higher, basically using a 11x multiplier with the 5600 using a 9x multiplier.
the 5600 seems to overclock better though.
