you might have some problems, if you're going to install OSX anyway, you might as well install OSX first, and then, using bootcamp, set up a dual boot with Vista, since that is the most trouble-free way of having a dual-boot IMO.

vista is a temp thing, i will not be duel booting when i recieve my os x install discs. im just going to install vista for the time being so i can actually use this sucker. I can just wipe it clean it again and install mac os x right? bootcamp not needed?

All of the drivers are included in the entire bootcamp package. I'm not sure how to manually pick them out of the app. I guess untill you get OSX, you'll have to live with no drivers. YOu could try going to Nvidia's site and getting drivers for teh 8600GT mobile edition, which is what the new Macbookpros use.

I assume it's an ATI card as he bought it off of eBay.

ati.amd.com has those.

alright im on the lappy right now. I got the drivers for the x1600 already(it was recognized and downloaded via windows update). Now here are the missing items from device manager...Built In I-Sight,Performance Counters, and High Definition Audio Device

can anyone get extract there drivers from the bootcamp disc and send it too me via xfire or something, all i really want is the audio driver so I can watch movies and listen to music!!! everything else i can live without for now
