yes I have the latest chipset drivers and yes nvidia has but it was only because I had forgotten to plug in the 6 pin connector to my video card after re-building it.

I am simply amazed that this issue has gone on as long as it has, that just sucks.

I'm starting to think that you should just throw the whole thing in the garbage, and start over

If your overclock isn't stable, then you can't expect your gaming to be. Personally I think its your motherboard, as I had issues with my A8N toward the end of its life, before I switched to the biostar. *fingers crossed

I've replaced the hard drive too:/. I'm not going to throw it away, when I upgrade, I'm gonna build two computers from this one / all of my old parts. Plans are to get a Q6600, P35 board, and 2gb of ram. This problem occured before the overclock. So it isn't that:/. The overclock helped by allowing the game to have bullets that work, but it remained choppy .

EDIT: Yes, troubleshooting FTW..lol, and yeah, I've reformatted many times with several different OS's repeatedly.
My wootstick:D.

Cmon, I wasn't being serious on the "throw it away". Damn I can't even bring myself to get rid of some old used 92 and 80mm fans

My point if you have replaced or exchanged everything in your rig, then your left with only replacing the user

Ever hear of "operator head space and timing"

Never heard of it, I'm not really gonna throw it away, like I said, once I upgrade, building two computers out of this one.
