This isn't any sort of false advertiseing as the NF4 and 430 combo provide enhancements over the original nForce 4 chipset, it's just the way that the 570 was implemented on Intel systems. This is in a similar way as the P5N32-E SLi Plus. Labeled as a 680i "chipset" as it has the same features but makes use of the 650i for the NorthBridge whilst the 430 SouthBridge gives full 16x SLi support.

Wow, that's some good information right there, and news to me. I guess it's always wise to do research before buying anything.

The SouthBridge on the ECS NFORCE 570 SLIT-A is supposed to be reasonably good at doing it's job as the 430 MCP has since been rebranded as the 650i MCP by Nvidia for use in its current Intel 650i based boards. Though unfortunately, the NF4 NorthBridge always performed poorly on any Intel based system. That's why there was so much hype when the 680i's were first released, they were the first Nvidia chipset intended for Intel systems that actually overclocked well.
