Thread Starter
so after trying OC my CPU & many BIOS resets, I figured out either:
[please choice one of the following]

a) my hardware sucks.
b) vista sucks 4 OCing
c) Asus over clocking software (AI booster) sucks
d) I suck cause I don't know what I'm doing.
lol

Whenever I use the software it will freeze or wont go past the bios boot up screen or wont go into windows. any advice?

C is the obvious answer. First and foremost. Secondly, reading some of the guides here carefully will solve D.

what speed are you trying to set the FSB for? What is your Vcore setting, most stability issues can be fixed by adding a little voltage to the problem area.

i've tried both way of overclocking,

1) software
2) bios way

lol and let me tell you, the software way may be more appealing, because it makes you think its easier and more comfortable. but the BIOS way works much better.
