Pc's have superior graphics, the games are a lot better, and you don't have to use autoaim in shooters (lmao). I would much rather invest money in one good pc then in one bad pc and a ps3. A pc also has upgrade possibilities . With a console you could be stuck with the same hardware for years. Don't mean to start a flame war or anything but these are just my opinions. But I am lookin forward to putting linux and folding on it
Sure, but consoles cost a third of the price of a PC that can emulate the same graphics, almost every PC game comes to console, except a few, and there are a lot more exclusives on the consoles.

Keyboard+mouse is not the best controller for all games, only FPS and RTS really. Joypads work better with drivers, fighters, platformers, and sports games. It's no small coincidence that these genres are scarce on the PC but prevalent on consoles.

And sure you can use a joypad on a PC, but you can also use a keyboard on the modern consoles if you really want to.

Only if you have a high-end video card, which costs as much as an entire console. An average PC will have a hard time competing with the consoles for a little while. As the console cycle nears its end, sure, even average PCs will outdo the consoles; but new consoles will be right on the horizon.

That's subjective. If you like PC games better, then you're making the right choice for you. But blanket statements that PC games are just "better" is ridiculous. Especially in a Playstation forum full of Metal Geal Solid and God of War junkies...these are the best games ever to these folks, and they are nowhere to be found on a PC.

This is the main reason I responded, I am really getting tired of this "you can upgrade a PC" straw man. To put the high end components into a mid-range PC that will make it outdo a PS3, you will need to drop some serious dollar. The video card you'll put in is going to run $400 alone, right? And the upgrade junkies seem to do this stuff every 2-3 years, much faster than the five year console cycle. Chances are youll be paying a lot more in PC upgrades than if you just stuck with a console.

And so what if the console is not upgradeable? The games steadily improve over a five-year cycle exactly because the machines aren't being upgraded. Developers get to know the hardware intimately, something they cannot do with the mish-mash of PCs out in the wild. And so what if you have to buy a whole new console every five years? If the cost is in the $400-$600 range, you can probably still buy both a PS and an XBox for the same price as a PC guy has spent on upgrades to stay competitive.

So there you have it...consoles don't suck.

Well, I would never drop that much for a video card, more like ~$150-$200. I really don't think the average PC gamer would spend $400 to upgrade their card...Still, I think it's true that console games are better for people with less computer knowledge and/or who don't want to mess around with incompatibility, drivers, patches, and crashes

Metal Gear Solid 4 is at the top of the list. Also you should definitely fold on it when not playing MGS4. And I like consoles, especially for online play because that way you know everyone has the same exact hardware and has no frames per second over you....except if they have a bad internet connection. When I play PC games, I usually spend more time trying to optimize performance than actually playing the game so when I have a console I actually get to play.
