The sounds actually come out the way they are supposed to. Plus a huge majority of games are optimized specifically for creative cards.

I don't know about your integrated audio, but mine was piss poor for games. It would stutter, cut the sample rate at times (so I'd lose ALL my treble in the middle of a game), and positional audio wasn't even close. With X-Fi, gaming audio is near perfect.

My integrated audio is very good. 7.1 surround, position works perfectly (or as perfectly as it can for 2.1), it sounds very nice and clear. I've never thought the sound could get much better to be honest.
