Do you think i should
  1. Add a drive above the PSU
  2. expand the case and add an internal drive
  3. leave it with one optical
As is the case up right is only a 15" X 15" X 7" box and i dont want to make it much bigger.
Any thoughts?
I need to iron out ALL details before i start building the mold.
Thanks
Hi.

Personally I would design the case with as much flexability that keeps the cases' volume within reason.

Having space for a couple of optical drives is a good idea imho.

Also, consider future cooling upgrades (large format HSF's) or changes such as moving to water cooling.

just my 2-cents.

This is gonna be a really nice case, I look forward to seeing the results of your labors.

this will be awesome, I'm sure. So how are you going about laying the carbon fibre? Making a male mold and laying the carbon fibre and resins over that? Carbon fibre comes in sheets doesn't it? And then you add a resin over top that is usually in two parts then added together upon application? Just wondering, I think I remember seeing it sold that way.

No pics this time
decided to move both optical drives over the PSU, need to reshape the case now, may make it easier to mold the CF though.
Initially my design was still an upright box but i didnt like the airflow patterns so i rotated it up on the PSU stand and forgot that the CD drive wont load sideways.
I'm also rethinking CPU cooling, instead of a fanless tower i may have to do something lower profile to keep it in the case.

Maybe i could have the Cooler come out of the case window like a hot rod hat?

Damn, i need some input here.
if someone could get some dimensions of an ultra 120 i would be grateful.
Thanks for keeping up with me.

waahh... no pics.

...next time.

Heh.. your design is making you think, and it looks like you are overcoming the hurdles...

Sorry, I don't have the dimensions that you are looking for. I am at work so I can't do any searches for you, but you could probably get the required information from the manufactrurers website.

Good godfrey... I can't wait to see this case.

Much change has happened.
I'm planning on running an external power supply like the brick for your laptop or NES.
Out of that there will be three automotive style plugs to the back of the case.
Oh yeah, and it has shapeshifted again.
Need to put some more time into it but i have been moving so not much free time.
the angled spires will each house an optical drive and Two Hard drives.

I like your re-vamped design.

The "organic"-ness (rounded and flowing) of the supports on the rear are sweet!

So.... do you have a timeline for fabrication... not trying to rush you.

...okay, okay.... I'm rushing you . Sorry, I just wanna see this beauty brought to life.
