When can i grab 2 6Pin to 8Pin PCI-E power connectors?

I need them for this build.

I would prefer newegg but i can't find any... do i lose any performance using just a regular 6Pin with no adapter?


I put this in the ATI section because only the 2900 XT uses 8Pin connectors if i remember correctly!

6 pin will work fine, just can't use the official overclocking tool thingy... If you really want one, it can be found here

8 bucks a peice... OUCH.

I probably won't overclock them for a while, they run so hot i would have to be very careful...

You can still use ATI Tool to overclock them.

Hot? How do these temperatures fair with the 8800's?

These temps seem alright to me.

The temps on mine never go above 70-75C depending on how hot it is that day. It idles at about 45-48C.
