I just put one of these motherboards into my sig build. It's my first DFI and I am extremely impressed.
It took me a while to get used to the BIOS and it's vagueness, lol. Although in desperate need of some updates, it's pretty powerful once you get to know it. Here in a second, I'll reboot and write down the important settings and values to get accustomed to adjusting.
I've read that the board may be temperamental in regards to RAM. If you're looking into purchasing this board, you can consult the DFI Recommended RAM listing
to double check compatibility.
This is my current stable overclock:
htt multi: x3
RAM clock: 333mhz
RAM OC: 429mhz
It's modest at the moment.
I have a strong feeling I'll be able to pull the CPU clock and FSB up a bit more. Previously at a multi of x10 I had it stable with the FSB at 310. That is pretty impressive compared to the last two AM2 boards I worked with.
My problem has been with my Corsair RAM. I haven't been very successful so far at running my 2 gigs at their full 400mhz with a high FSB value. Even though these sticks are listed as recommended and supposedly have hit 600mhz+, they were also a pain in the butt in a previous test system. I think I may try some hi performance G.Skill with the board in the future.
The last thing I will bring to attention with this board; I initially dropped my HTT multi to x4, as most systems will crap out at 1000mhz or so. I actually found at those higher FSB values, dropping further down to x3 proved very successful. If you're stuck, give it a try.
THhs is a good thread and can prove to be a very valuable source of info. Thanks for starting it and those further contributing. Keep it alive!
