RAM help, errors galore!!!

Thread Starter
I have 4 Gigz of ram that I cannot get working properly. It is PC2 6400 ram. I changed the timings to the ones on the ram which is 4-5-4-15. My computer will only boot with 2 Gigz in, so I havn't gotten 4 in successfully.

After a couple of hours, I'll get a blue error screen that flashes quickly (not the blue screen of death). I'm not familiar with all of the volts and everything so if you could help. Check out my specs if you are wondering what mobo I have.

Please, please, help me out, I need this for work and when my computer randomly shuts off, that poses a problem for me.

Run Memtest 86 (available in the downloads section) on each individual stick. See if any of them are bad.... That doesn't sound like your problem, but w/ 4 sticks, it can't hurt.

I'll try that, but. I've switched the memory out numerous times and it works fine.

Bump the voltage like .05v overstock to compensate for voltage drop?

How are you 100% sure the new RAM is stable?

Ok... well, first... post a link to the exact make of RAM you have. Find out the stock voltage needed. Then go into your motherboard BIOS and set that value.

What BIOS are you running on the P5N32-E SLi anway?

I ask as there were memory compatibility issues, especially with 4GB of RAM with the older BIOS revisions.
