Athlon X2 4000+ AM2 = 85W~ (overclocked)
Biostar TFORCE 520 =
1GB DDR667 Corsair = 5W~
EVGA 8800GTS 320MB = 240W~
80GB SataII Hard drive = 9W~
480W HIPER psu( believe me, it's more than enough)
Case

640$ taxed AND shipped. I calculated shipping for california in case your state gets taxed. If you DONT get taxed, GREAT, it comes to about 600$ even. This rig will be able to take on ANYTHING you throw at it (exept maybe vista). Ill look to see if i can find you 2GB ddr2 for cheap...

Tell me what you think..

Note: Rosewill PSUs scare me
Personally, I think rather than that ddr ram, he should get this ddr2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565 Only $85 after rebate, more of it, and more future proof.

Dude. A rig for $600 that gets 3dmark06 score of 2115 is NOT good.

You will much better off getting a AM2 X2 Dual core AMD rig or a Budget Core2Duo for that price.

That PC is a BUDGET old technology and you don't want to upgrade to old tech.

Just thought I would say that no matter how high that 3600+ clocks too - It has NOTHING on any of the Core2Duo CPU's Especially the E6660 - It can perform alot more ops per cycle and not to mention the 4MB L2 Cache on the E6600.
