Thermaltake Toughpower 700W

Thread Starter
My power supply finally arrived, but it has no fan on the back, only a vent, but its fan (on the bottom) is 2 cm bigger than the other one. Does anyone think this will make a difference temp wise, or would i be smart to just sell this if it wont make a difference? My temp idles at around 40 right now for the processor and 38 for the case as Ive said before, but see that that is too hot, what is a good temp at? Thanks for any help.

Sounds normal to me. Quite a few PSU's have just a vent at the back and a fan underneath that sits above your CPU cooler. Mine does too.

i think thats pretty much customary with these new psu coming out

Many high end PS eliminated the restrictive 80mm rear fan. They either had to run them so fast they were noisy or eliminate them!
One less thing to collect dust and crud too!

I doubt it will lower your temps but it should quiet your PC down.

im thinking of buying a Tt Toughpower 700w as well, and with a p182 case.

the case has the PSU in the bottom. so how the hell will fan at the bottom help airflow? if no fan in the rare or PSU, then it seems the lower section of p182's fan cannot be removed. (otherwise no clear air flow direction in the bottom section)
