Screw the benchmark apps (but TBH I want to see them)... Lets see some in-game benchmarks! Id like to see if with the new drivers the ATI card can be totally on par with the 8800gtx in games. It looked pretty good with the 7.6 drivers, now I wanna know what the 7.7s can do.

12x and 24x Anti-Aliasing support for the ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD 2900 XT and ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD 2600 Series

This release of Catalystâ„¢ introduces support for 12X and 24X Anti-Aliasing for the ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD 2900 XT, and ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD 2600 Series. These new Anti-Aliasing settings are available through the new Anti-Aliasing Edge Detect Filter. Selecting 4X Anti-Aliasing plus selecting the Edge Detect filter deliver the equivalent of 12X Anti-Aliasing. Selecting 8X Anti-Aliasing plus selecting the Edge Detect filter deliver the equivalent of 24X Anti-Aliasing.
Performance Improvements

The ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD2400, HD2600 and HD2900 (single and CrossFireâ„¢) can see performance improvements of 13.2% or more in various Far Cry maps.

This section provides information on resolved issues in this release of the ATI Catalystâ„¢ Software Suite for Windows Vista. These include:

* Call of Juarez: Enabling AA no longer result in occasional corruption being noticed. Further details can be found in topic number 737-28455

I'll post my findings on the X1950 performance. I'm really only expecting IQ boost, not performance. The 7.6s showed great IQ increase in BF2142, especially with the EMP/energy effects.
