I have a Big Typhoon (not laped) with a silverstone fm121 fan an i idle whatever my ambient is. When my air conditioner is on i can hit 19C idle and even without the air conditioner i NEVER go above 40C load.

Noctua NH-UH12F. I've tested most of them, excluding the Ultra 120 extreme, and that Noctua is impressive.

Noctua with a Silverstone is deadly!

hey, you got one. i thought you were gonna go with a different one after we talked. she's very pretty, is she not?

anyway, for pure cooling, i like the Ultra 120 and Scythe Infinity. it seems like people always forget about the Infinity, but it rocks.

50C load, if using Orthos/dual Prime95 is beautiful!

Why would you want to change?

I mean, unless you wanted to extend your CPU's life from 15 years to 19 years?

Maybe for overclocking headroom?
Or because of the whole "pursuit of performance" thing lol.

I just ordered a Enzotech ULTRA-X, I've spent about two months researching heat sinks and finally decided on the Enzotech Ultra-X. I almost got the Thermalright Ultra 120 extreme but I wanted maximum air cooling and a good mounting system. I've read alot of complaints about the Thermalright Ultra 120's poor mounting bracket... Heres a helpful comparison for you.
