I need help with my Cruacial Balistix

Thread Starter
Hi,Been OCing my new cpu and want to start doing some benches! The furthest I can push my ram on a 266mhz divider is around 470mhz according to cpu-z! But the thing I need help with is that when I pass 316mhz fsb with my ram at 440mhz it starts going down according to everest! What is causing this? Because at 328fsb and 470mhz on the ram according to cpu-z everest shows it as 380mhz

Even if I do memory benches with everest it says I'm running at 380mhz

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

pics plz maybe the way your wording it makes it confusing for me but guessing your using the 800 ram then it's normal speed is at 400mhz so at 6mhz its at a 44% decrease in speed ...

316/200=1.58 * 400=632 ram speed times .665 should equal 420mhz guess im off but notice since they are rated 800 there real rated is at 400mhz so right now your OCing your ram over it normal value

now for 328..... 328/200=1.64*400= 656*.665=436.24mhz

but at 328 the memory is at 380mhz lets see this 328/200=1.64 /380=231.7mhz
now at 1:1 ratio the memory should be 1.64*400=656mhz so 656/231.7=.28
.28/1
lol sorry I dont have my calculator with me to do whole number ratios

anyways right now im need to go and now im lost in my math but my safest bets see how your memory is going over it's rated speed at 266 ratio with the fsb at 328 your memory might not have booted so your motherboard may have had lower the ratio even more so that it can boot.
